Top 3 CEOs in the Middle East 2022

Regardless of the state of the economy or the state of the world market, it is the CEO who bears most of the responsibility for the success or failure of the company he or she leads. In the Middle East and for several years now, the trend and application of corporate governance has prevailed over previous methods. In addition, business development in important sectors such as oil and gas has led to the development of human structures within companies. Not only that, the diversification of sectors and the investment of countries dependent on oil exports has given way to the development of the private sector and thus the multiplication of CEOs in the Middle East. 

1. Amin H. Nasser

Nasser has been leading one of the world’s largest providers of crude oil to the global market since 2015. Saudi Aramco had a market cap of $2.3 trillion as of June, 2022. In to 2019, it was listed on the Saudi Exchange, and in 2020 it acquired a 70% stake in SABIC. The group reported revenues of $400 billion in 2021. Nasser is also a member of the international Advisory Board of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. 

2. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber 

Al Jaber has been Group CEO and Managing Director of ADNOC since 2016. Founded in 1971, it is one of the world’s largest energy producers, with a current production capacity of 4 millions barrels of oil and 11 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. The group comprises nearly 19 business with operations in exploration, production, storage, refining, trading and petrochemical products development. Also is the Minister of Industry in the UAE.   

3. Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum 

 Al Maktoum became the Chairman of Emirates Airlines one of the top airlines in Middle East and the world and president of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation in 1985. Today, he oversees more tan 85.000 people. The group recorded revenues of $18.1 billion and assets worth $44.7 billions in 2021. The airline flies to 140 destinations around the world and operates a fleet of over 262 aircraft.
